In my recent training event, someone asked me whether we could add or change our own logo and themes in Power Apps. It’s a generic query that everyone doesn’t like any specific default theme or logo every time they use the app. Instead of that, they will change or customize it on their own.
In this article, I will tell you what is the easiest and fastest way to add custom logo and themes in Power Apps with less time.
Add Custom Logo And Themes in Power Apps
By default, Microsoft provides a default theme and logo (optional) in Power Apps that shows in the left image. After adding the logo and themes, the changes will reflect in the whole of Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Outlook, Power Automate, Power BI, etc., i.e., you can see the difference in how the Power Apps look in the screenshot below.

Power Apps Add Custom Logo
Let’s follow the steps to add the new custom logo in Power Apps. To do this, we need the help of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
1. Open Microsoft 365 Admin Center -> Expand Settings -> Org settings -> Organization profile -> Select Custom themes.

2. you can directly edit and change the logo and themes if you have any default theme. But if you are new, you must add a new theme using the + Add theme option.

3. In the Default theme window, go to General and select Prevent users from overriding their theme option. Click on Save.
Apart from that, if you want to display the user display name in the top navigation bar (when signed in), then select the Show the user’s display name option as shown below.

4. Once it is saved, go to the Logos tab. Under the Default Logo, select Upload and Browse the image (< 10KB size) you want to upload to Power Apps.

Select the logo and click on Open.

5. Now, you can see the logo has been uploaded. If you want to remove it and reupload a new logo again, click on the Remove option. Once everything is done, click on the Save button.
Additionally, if you want to upload any alternate logo, you can upload any image inside the Alternate Logo field and save the changes to reflect in the Power Apps.

You will receive a notification that says, “Your changes have been saved.”

6. Log in to Power Apps, and you will observe that the Logo appears in place of Power Apps in the header/top navigation bar as below.

Power Apps Add Custom Themes
1. Similarly, if you want to add new custom themes, select the Custom themes from the Org settings page again. As you previously added a theme, it’s showing a Default theme option. Select the ellipses (…) and click on Edit.

2. Go to the Colors tab to see all the default Navigation bar color, Text & icon color, and Accent color below.

3. Here, I will change the Power Apps Navigation bar color, which should meet the minimum color contrast ratio of 4:5:1. If you select a ratio more than this, it won’t take and will show you a warning message. Once it’s done, click on Save.

4. Now go to the Power Apps and refresh the page once. You will observe that the navigation bar color has been changed to your desired color, as shown below.
