What is Power BI Quick Insights?
When you will upload the data into Power BI, then the Quick insights will help you to develop some interesting interactive visualization that depends upon your data.
One of the most important things you should know is, the Quick insights can work within the specific dashboard tile or on an entire dataset. That means it only can work with the data uploaded to Power BI, It cannot work with the DirectQuery in Power BI.
Types of Quick insights supported by the Power BI
In the Power BI Dashboards or Reports, Power BI Service can automatically search for insights. Power BI insights quickly look at various types of a subset of your dataset.
When it searches, then the Power BI applies a set of algorithms to develop some interesting insights. We can find some of the algorithms that we can use as:
- Category outliers (top/bottom)
- Change points in a time series
- Correlation
- Low Variance
- Majority (Major factors)
- Overall trends in time series
- Seasonality in time series
- Steady share
- Time series outliers
