SharePoint page viewer web part displays another web page on this web part page. You can add a page to display by Specifying URL link or giving path in SharePoint 2016/2013.
By using Page viewer web part you can display files or documents from a document library, even you can be able to display an external site web part inside a page viewer web part in SharePoint 2016.
Notes:
- You can use the Page Viewer Web Part only in a browser that supports the HTML IFRAME element.
- Displaying a file or a folder requires Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Now I will show you how you can add a page viewer web part to a web part page in SharePoint 2016/2013 or SharePoint Online.
Step-1:
Open the SharePoint web part page. Click on Add a Web part.
Step-2:
Click on Media and Content from Categories section and then select Page Viewer from Parts.
Step-3:
This will add the Page Viewer Web Part into the web part page like below:
Step-4:
To configure the page viewer web part, click on Edit Web Part like below or you can also directly click on “open the tool pane” link like below:
Step-5:
This will open the web part properties window, Expand Page Viewer tab. Then in the “To specify a link, type a URL or path” link box, enter the file, folder or web page URL like below. Then click on Apply -> OK.
Step-6:
The webpage appears on the same webpage. Click on OK and stop Editing to view the SharePoint web part page.
Step-7:
Similarly, as per requirement, you can add multiple page viewer web parts into a SharePoint web part page in SharePoint 2016/2013 or SharePoint Online.
