This SharePoint 2019 tutorial explains, how to solve the issue of “Only one copy of the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard can be run at a time” while opening the SharePoint 2019 Central Administration. We will also see how we can start MSSQLSERVER service in Services in Windows Server 2016 which need to run to start SharePoint 2019.
While I was opening the SharePoint 2019 Central Administration, Suddenly, it was throwing an error as “Only one copy of the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard can be run at a time“.
Probably, this error will come when the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service status has been stoped in windows services. You can see the error message in the below screenshot.
Solution of Only one copy of the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard can be run at a time
To solve this “Only one copy of the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard can be run at a time” issue and to run the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service status, Follow the below steps:
Step-1:
Open “Run” (Window+R) window, Type “services.msc” in Open field. Then click on “OK” as shown in below.
Step-2:
Once you will click on “OK” button, a Services (Local) page will appear where you can see all the Local Server Services. Select “SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)” and click on Start service button to run this status service as like below screenshot.
After a while, you can see the “SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)” service status will convert to running mode. Now again re-open your SharePoint 2019 Central Administration, it will open normally without giving an error.
