In this tutorial, we will discuss how to leave an organization as a guest user in Microsoft Teams. This way, we can leave an organization from a list of organizations in Microsoft teams.
Recently, I have been added to Microsoft teams as a guest user (SharePointKnight). They had conducted 36 hours of Microsoft 365 webinars. You can also check out my session (Power bi DAX tutorial with examples (Power Bi DAX functions)).
Then when I open my Teams, I can see both the organizations like below:
Here I wanted to remove the Guest organization from the list of organizations in Microsoft teams.
Leave an organization as a guest user in Microsoft Teams
Login to the Azure Portal with your Office 365 credentials.
Then click on the profile icon and then click on View account like below:
This will open the Azure profile and you can see the Profile details with Organizations also. Like I can see both the organizations.
Click on the Settings icon like below:
Then you will see the option as Sign in to leave organization, if you have not signed in to the account.
Then once you logged in to the organization, you can see like below. Here again click on the Settings icon.
Now, you will be able to see the Leave Organization option like below. Click on it.
It will show you the Leave organization confirmation message like below:
Click on the Leave button like above and you will be removed from the organization.
Note: It may take up to 24 hours to reflect in Microsoft teams.
Restart Microsoft Teams and you will not see the Organization in the list of organizations list in Microsoft teams.
